Useful utilities

  • Flags are useful to mark or unmark messages as important (F), new (N), and others. You can search, move, and filter these flagged messages. A common list of possible marks can be found at message-status-flag. See below commands for these operations:

    • flag-message (F): toggle important flag on selected message,
    • toggle-new (N): toggle new flag on selected message,
    • limit (L): show only messages matching a pattern (e.g. ~F to show only important messages),
    • search-next (n): search next match,
    • set-flag (w): set a status flag,
    • clear-flag (W): clear status flag.
  • Flag a thread:

    1. Tag thread (tag-thread) <Esc>t
    2. Flag all tagged files with prefix ; and later the flag (e.g. F)
